Without funding, government or otherwise, we rely almost entirely on the kindness and generosity of beautiful souls like yourself to keep this venture alive - but knowing just how hard life is at the moment, and how previous every penny is - we feel it only fair to outline how any prospective funds would be allocated:

Essential Expenses

In the day-to-day running of our Earthy mission, a few things are unavoidable - things like fuel and vehicle maintenance allow us to stay mobile and continue to collect the litter we do, clearing our natural spaces. Rent, utilities and upkeep of tools allow for our upcycling centre to continue to operate safely, keeping our landlord, energy providers and insurance broker happy - so we can continue to recycle and reuse what we can on a personal, more-thorough level than we could just dropping it off at the town skip.

Educate & Inspire

As parents we realise the importance of helping the next generation understand the impact that litter and pollution has on our environment, wildlife and planet-at-large. Things like targeted signage in popular areas, school-engagement, litter-conscious story books and potential child-friendly workshops would aim to inspire a whole new generation of Earth stewards, heavily inspired by our own two, Maia and Morrigan.

Planning for the Future

To sum-up all the potential ideas we’ve dreamt of in a short paragraph would be tough, but there are a few that stand out - eventually levelling-up our upcycling centre is near the top, with hopes to one day oversee a larger-scale recycling effort to intercept as much rubbish as possible before it has a chance to end up in our forests and streams, actively collecting recyclables from households to repurpose, reuse and recycle responsibly.

Another of note, although probably less likely, is to ‘rescue’ a forest grown for commercial forestry and marked for the woodsman’s axe - a lofty dream of turning a monoculture for-profit forest into a protected, varied landscape capable of supporting a veritable medley of flora and fauna - a lasting, life-giving legacy that if we’re lucky, will one day come to fruition. As outlined before, there are a few more ideas we’ve rattled about, the gist though, is that with investment we’d be able to enact larger, more-impactful projects.

Community Outreach

Investment also makes things like open-days and community-partnerships possible - allowing for the possibility of regularly hosting a few like-minded souls, engaging the community in events where people can turn up, help pick up some rubbish from nature then bring it back to recycle and maybe turn into their own works of art in-house.
